Deleware Crossing Sons of The American Revolution

The Sons of the American Revolution are direct descendants of those patriots that achieved the independence of the American people. The objectives of our organization are intended to perpetuate a more profound reverence for the principles of the government founded by our forefathers. The Delaware Crossing Chapter is part of the Sons of the American Revolution or SAR.

As part of a national and state-wide effort, the Delaware Crossing Chapter supports and promotes 5 youth recognition and honors programs. These are:  Joseph Rumbaugh Orations Contest, Eagle Scout Contest, Knight Essay Contest, JROTC recognition , and the Americanism Poster contest. Scholarship recognition is given by the chapter to those who are selected as the best qualifier.

Those selected participate in the Kansas State competition where Scholarship recognition is received by the best qualifier.  That person competes at the National level where much larger scholarship recognition can be received.
